She is the daughter of early series villian Justice and a Command-Type Gear, meaning she has the power to control other members of her race. In Guilty Gear, gears are a race of living weapons of mass destruction whom have been altered magically on a genetic level. The events of the series basically follow the aftermath of a 100 year war between Justice and the Gears and the humans, whom had been nearly wiped out by the war.

She is one of the most superior Gears to ever come into existence. Her powers are incredible and dangerous on a level that may very well be beyond that of her mother. Her wings are sentient beings, named Necro (dark green) and Undine (icy blue), whom are capable of magic of varrying types and actively protect her from any and all attackers with deadly force in spite of her own protests. She is also notably resiliant, able to survive a near 20,000 foot drop when she is knocked off of an airship with barely any damage to her at all beyond a twisted ankle. She is capable of being killed with the correct amount of force applied properly, though. It is unlikely this would happen given how powerful her built in defense mechanisms are, though.

The details of Dizzy's birth are virtually unknown, and all anyone knows is that she was found by an elderly couple in a small village three years prior to the current point in canon. She started as a small baby but developed insanely fast into a young woman of high intelligence (she's still somewhat immature in intelligence). The village began to grow increasingly fearful and untrusting of her, in spite of her caretakers' attempts to protect her from them. This all came to head when her tail and wings appeared, causing her to be identified as a Gear. Her parents attempted to hide her in a cursed forest called the Sacred Place, but she was soon found and subjegated to abuse. This caused her powers to awaken...and while she left none of them seriously harmed, the UN considered her to be an immediate threat and assigned a gigantic bounty to her head.

While on the run in the Sacred Place, she met and became friends with Testament, a fellow gear. Testament was a former general of Justice, but he had regained his memories after Justice was killed in the first game. The burden of his sins had driven him to despair and he lacked any purpose in existence. That is, until he found Dizzy. Her innocence and kindness inspired him to take up his scythe as her protecter. He aided her in fighting off any and all bounty hunters until three in particular showed up. Testament's old enemies from his time as Justice's servant, Ky Kiske and Sol Badguy, as well as a sky pirate with a lust for adventure named Johnny Sfondi.

Ky and Johnny managed to be able to defeat Testament and subdue him, allowing Sol to find Dizzy. However, under the stress of the events, Dizzy lost control of her powers and lashed out, causing a gigantic magical pressure that threatened to kill all of them, Dizzy included. However, Sol's own secret (He's the Prototype Gear) managed to calm Dizzy's powers and save the group. He dissappeared before the girl came too...and Dizzy showed her gratefulness to them all. Testament and Ky agreed that he alone would not be able to protect Dizzy from every threat, and she was put in the custody of Johnny Sfondi and his crew.

Dizzy lived happily with her new family until a mysterious red witch named I-no kidnapped her and tossed her from the ship. This sets up the events of Guilty Gear XX, to which there is no canon ending, though what has been translated of Accent Core+ suggests that she was rescued by a joint effort of Johnny Sfondi, Testament, and the Zepp soldier Potemkin.

CALABRIA-VERSE BACKGROUND: Dizzy's life is a short one and hardly desirable in the slightest. She is part of a long running secret project of the Vescovo family known as "The Gear Project", in which they intend to go beyond genetic mutations and create entire new beings from scratch capable of destruction on a massive scale if needed. Privately funded by the Italian Government as a means of developing new bio weapons, The Gear Project produced a handful of altered specimens, but the ultimate goal was to fully build a controllable organic super being from scratch. Taking DNA from two previous experiments, they had finally reached the pinacle of their research in a articifially born humanoid female codenamed "Dizzy".

Life was seemingly good for Dizzy. She grew up in a hidden Vescovo compound on the island of Sicily. In a short three years time, she grew from a babe into a young woman who could have been in her late teens, along with a somewhat comparable intelligence, though she was awfully naive. She was completely unaware she was an experiment, much less a living weapon. Even after her wings (sentient AI self defense systems codenamed "Necro" and "Undine") and tails formed, she did not question things. She was aware that she was different, but the scientists always treated her with kindness and she was happy with her life...at least until the Vescovo family stepped in and decided it was time to accelerate her condition.

She was transported to Reggio Calabria, where the head of the Vescovo family sat. The scientists she had come to love as family were left behind and replaced with new, colder minds. Some of them weren't even human, but rather programmed machines to ensure her daily functions. She became frightened and alone, untrusting of those whom now handled her. It all came to head when one of the scientists, enamored with her beauty, decided to throw her in a silenced cell and rape her...however, this proved to be a fatal error. Necro activated and killed the man, but also awakened most of her powers in the process. The resulting chaos had Dizzy destroying most of the lab she was held in...the Vescovo intended to have her destroyed.

That is until one daring Johnny Sfondi chose that day to work a break-in to the facility while the chaos was going on. He ran into Dizzy completely on accident, but ended up saving her from a pack of Vescovo soldiers and scientist whom were attempting to kill her. With Johnny's help, Dizzy managed to escape the facility and made it to the outside world. After that day, "The Gear Project" was officially shut down and all evidence of its existence was erased. Dizzy's retrieval was still a priority for not only the Vescovo family, but also the Italian government. However, with so few who worked on the project alive, it became increasingly difficult to track her.

She ended up becoming a sort of cohort to Johnny, helping him with his burglary work as well as taking care of him should he get hurt or be in need of a hot meal (she turned out to be an excellent cook). To this day, she stands by the side of the man she looks up to as a savior, but she still wonders about the scientists who were also her family back at the Sicily facility...though in reality, they were all likely killed or reassigned with entirely new identities.

CURRENT SITUATION: Since the time of the last game, Dizzy has joined up with an anti-mafia group called "No More Royalty" during Johnny's extended absence from the city (she still keeps in touch with him). She doesn't actively participate in any terrorist acts, and instead acts as a nurse/cook/general caretaker for the group. She has not once seen any violence as part of the group personally. And the group seems bound to keep it this way. She is the "angel" of the group, after all. A symbol of the hopeful world they want to help foster in.

As far as where she's living, she still lives in the loft of an old warehouse, though this has become one of NMR's bases of operation since Johnny moved out.

ALIGNMENT: Unafilliated
RANK: "Civilian"
